adaptability!

literally typing this straight from my actual diary

adaptability is arguably the best life skill that exists. in a world constantly evolving in ways in & out of ones control, the best way to be is: adaptable. for a control-freak like me, this feels like an extremely foreign concept, seemingly impossible.

like other things in life, the act of release and flow is a practice

it’s not easy to release control & just go with the curveballs you are thrown. it’s actually very hard and people don’t understand how much grace is required to even invite the concept inside their orbit. as i touched on in my last blog post, it is so important to take a step back & accept things. a more familiar term for this behavior and attitude, is “flow-state” many people preatice this way of life, gurus, yogis, buddhists, spiritual leaders etc.

so let’s define what flow-state means to me.

“the state of mind where one if in total alignment & acceptance with everything the universe has to offer - be it good or bad, positive or negative. a state of total peace and content, comprehending the importance of acceptance: of oneself & ones circumstances."

pretty good right :)

i truly believe that all things worth having take time to achieve and this one is a lifelong battle that as humans, we will ultimately lose at times. the important part is that we choose to show up again & again, until it doesn’t feel like such a challenge. it transforms into a habit we are conciously building. lately some events in my life have crashed & burned horribly and has reminded me how fickle everything truly is. we can make all of the plans in the world, but if we don’t leave room to adapt, we’ve missed the entire point.

this era of my life, i’ve kind of been forced and pushed into a flow state.. lol. but now that i’m here, i’m working on never leaving.

i encourage you to start small & just ask yourself the following:

-how do you react when plans get diverrted?

-do you feel the need to always be in control?

-are you able to adapt to maintain peace-of-mind, if need be?

just like that, start small, keep building

sometimes the whole glass isn’t poured at once. but drop by drop, pour by pour, it gets filled

stay strong boo’s, alwayzzz here for you
